Engineered for superior fine particle removal, this cartridge is the ideal first-stage or final polishing pre-filter for whole-house, borehole, rainwater, and commercial water treatment systems. Made from fine melt-blown polypropylene spun into a dense cylinder, this depth filter traps sand, dirt, silt, rust, and suspended particles throughout the full depth of the cartridge — not just on the surface — giving it far higher dirt-holding capacity than standard surface-type filters. At 1 micron absolute, it is also widely used as a critical pre-filter before carbon block filters, UV sterilizers, and reverse osmosis membranes to extend the life of those downstream systems.
